RFP Coordinator and Account Manager

We are searching for a communicative candidate who is proactive and passionate about company products and the clients they serve. This will be a dual role with responsibilities to Request for Proposal Coordinator and specific account management duties. Account managers will act as a point of contact for their clients. They will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with their contacts, always striving to find the products which best fit the needs of the client. The position will also coordinate and manage rfp/bid completion with other account managers and internal departments by completing and/or collecting information as needed in request for proposal and bids. To succeed in this position, the candidate should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to multitask.

Request for Proposal Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Record the RFP in the Bid Master, (including due date, District, state, title, description)
  • Distribute RFP to the appropriate personnel and to the directed distribution for review.
  • Meet weekly with supervisor to determine next steps on bids.
  • If a decision to bid is made, a bid decision announcement is distributed and a kickoff meeting is then scheduled to discuss further bid strategies (e.g., themes, discriminators, schedules, and team).
  • Schedule a proposal kick-off meeting & theming session
  • Prepare the RFP requirements & submission needs.
  • Collect annotated proposal information from acct manager(s) assigned to bid.
  • Facilitate development of proposal sections by writers
  • Coordinate all submission requirements (identify those rfp coordinator completes vs those received from other writers.
  • Review bid proposal for spelling, and all required paperwork/rfps
  • Facilitate delivery of the proposal on time

Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Provide trainings, workshops, and product demonstrations on a wide range of Attainment products
  • Conduct initial and follow‐up trainings on Attainment’s curricular resources, focusing on research foundations, instructional strategies, implementation approaches, and the
  • interplay between assessment and student learning
  • Design trainings for new Attainment resources
  • Exhibit and present on Attainment’s curriculum and assistive technology at selected conferences in the U.S.
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
  • Building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to learn more about consumer behavior.
  • Keeping accurate records pertaining to inventory and account notes.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.
  • Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
  • Identifying industry trends.
  • Acting as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience.

Job Qualifications:

  • Organizational capabilities
  • Knowledge of processing software, especially Microsoft Word, ADOBE, EXCEL
  • Knowledge of basic computerized graphics capabilities is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Grace under pressure – the ability to function effectively under stringent deadlines and resolve problems under pressure.
  • Ability to follow-up with proposal writers
  • Knowledge of government contracting, proposal development, and publications development and production is highly desirable.
  • Keen eye for detail and skills in copy-editing, grammar, style, spelling, and punctuation
  • Extensive, accurate product knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
